We received a call over the weekend from this patient due to the extreme pain of a failing dental crown placed 10 years ago. We saw this patient immediately for root canal treatment to completely relieve the pain. Afterward, we replaced both of the older metal-based crowns with new ceramic crowns that are aesthetically more natural-looking and a better color match with the adjacent teeth.
